Chattanooga Dog Board & Train

A board & train is a comprehensive learning experience for your dog. During a board & train, your dog lives with the trainer in his/her home and does one to two hours of total training each day in addition to exercise and play time. At the end of training, you pick up a happy, well-behaved dog and we teach you what your dog has learned with us so you can continue that training at home. After that, you are in maintenance mode and get to enjoy your well-behaved dog for life!

The board training option enhances learning and sets dogs up for success with obedience and manners training. It is an excellent choice for busy households, for travel (to board and train while you are gone), and for getting great results in a short period of time.

Let us help you train your dog!

Stay & Play

Stay & Play is our in-home dog boarding service. Dogs stay with us, in our home and as part of our family, while their owners go out of town. This gives our clients peace of mind knowing their dogs are in good hands. During their stay, we provide dogs with daily exercise, supervised play sessions, and consistent leadership and training. This allows dogs to maintain their training and go home as well-mannered as when they arrived. When dogs come to stay with us, they are relaxed in our home atmosphere as opposed to feeling stressed in a loud and largely unregulated kennel environment.

This service is offered to past and present clients only and space is limited.

Nightly – $55
Nightly for additional dogs – $40
Major Holidays – extra $10 per night

Optional Add-ons

Training – $50 for 30 minutes or $95 for 60 minutes
Bath – $30
Nail trim – $20

Consultation

The first step to getting started with training is booking a Private Consultation for your dog. This allows us to find out more information about your dog’s background and history, then assess your dog’s behavior so we can recommend the best-fit training program for your dog. Consultations are generally recommended for dogs four months of age and older or dogs with behavioral issues. Consultations for our Chattanooga location are done virtually.

Consultation fee – $99.00

What Our Clients Say

Valor K9 Academy is great!! We’ve worked with Kelsi over several weeks and when I say she is absolutely the best, I mean every word. She’s very professional, knowledgeable, patient and overall the sweetest! Titan loves her, I wouldn’t trust our puppy kid with anyone else! Thank you Valor K9 Academy and super thank you to Kelsi! The best dog training in Chattanooga.

-Melissa Sexton (Chattanooga)

We completed 6 private lessons for our 1yr old Husky, Addilynn. She had lots of excited energy, and Kelsi showed us how to better communicate with her. She even helped us find new ways to exercise and manage her in our everyday life. She was very kind, patient, and a wonderful teacher. She welcomed and answered all my questions, and was even available to answer them outside of lessons. We can now go to pet stores, go on walks and even go downtown with all kinds of distractions without feeling uneasy. I would highly recommend ValorK9, as now have the knowledge and tools to continue our training further. I couldn’t be more thankful!

-Alyssa Smith (Chattanooga)

“Our German Shepherd Female puppy was with Kelsi for two weeks and came back a different dog. I know that sounds weird, but it is true in all of the best possible ways. She being 5 months old now, doesn’t chew on us or our things. She now is very obedient especially indoors. I should mention we are 1 week post training. She sits and stays (implied) will lay and stay (implied) you can walk into the other room and she will still be waiting on you. She goes to her crate when told and lays on her place bed when told. I didn’t really know what to expect when she came home, but our lives are much easier now. We can trust her more in the home and we have productive ways to interact with our puppy. She is just all around a better temperament puppy now. I would recommend them to anyone who is tired of their dog chewing, biting, and for someone who isn’t really sure how to interact with their dog.”
