Boise Obedience Board and Train | Valor K9 Academy
“We were worried that obedience training would change our dog’s personality. What we got was the same happy dog—but with self-control, manners, and reliable obedience! The transformation in just three weeks was incredible. We’re so thankful for Valor K9 Academy and highly recommend their board and train program!”

One of the most common concerns we hear from dog owners is this: “I don’t want my dog to be a robot.” Our Boise Obedience Board and Train programs, especially our Good Dog Program at Valor K9 Academy, are designed to help your dog become the best version of themselves—not a shell of their former self. We understand that personality matters. That’s why our relationship-based balanced training approach builds on each dog’s strengths while giving them the structure and communication they need to thrive.
What Makes Our Good Dog Board & Train Different?
Our three-week Good Dog Board and Train Program in Boise, Idaho, focuses on:
On-leash and off-leash obedience
Manners at home and in public
Confidence building and calm mindset
Play, structure, and healthy routines
Owner training and take-home lesson
Your dog stays with us, learns daily, and receives personalized training sessions that are tailored to their needs and temperament. We use rewards to create engagement and motivation before introducing training tools to reinforce clear communication. The result? A happy, obedient dog you can confidently take anywhere.
This program is ideal for friendly, social dogs ages six months and up who need help with reliable obedience and manners.
Serving Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, and surrounding areas.
Real Results Without Losing the Spark
We recently trained Taxi, a young Vizsla with a big personality. His owners were hesitant—they didn’t want him to lose his spunk. But within just a few weeks in our obedience board and train program, they saw a dog who was focused, well-mannered, and still full of life.
With regular video updates throughout the program, they saw Taxi working in high-distraction environments, making good choices, and enjoying the training process. Their concerns faded quickly as they saw how happy and engaged he was.
This is what we love to do—build dogs up, not break them down.
