Boise Puppy Training Programs

Looking for expert Boise puppy training? Our weekly, one-hour private lessons give your puppy a strong start in life. You’ll work one-on-one with your trainer in her in-home training space in Eagle, Idaho, or in real-world public settings to build confidence, manners, and social skills.
Our private puppy training program focuses on:
Obedience and basic commands
Socialization with people, dogs, and new environments
Leash walking, crate training, and potty training
Preventing common puppy behaviors like biting, chewing, and jumping
We’ll help you set clear goals and create a personalized training plan. After each lesson, you’ll receive step-by-step homework and ongoing support to reinforce progress at home.

Our Puppy Head Start™ Board & Train is designed for puppies 10–20 weeks old, providing an immersive, results-driven experience that sets your pup up for lifelong success. Your puppy stays with a Valor K9 Academy trainer for two weeks or longer, receiving daily personalized training and structured care in a calm, focused environment.
During their stay, your puppy will learn:
Basic obedience commands: sit, down, come, place, and leash walking
Crate training and following a consistent daily routine
Potty training with a structured schedule
Confidence building through age-appropriate challenges
Safe, positive socialization with people, dogs, and new environments
Each program is fully customized to your puppy’s age, behavior, and your household needs, ensuring they return home with obedience, manners, and a smooth transition into your lifestyle. You’ll receive regular updates, and at the end of the program, we work one-on-one with you to reinforce lasting success. Board & Trains include private lessons for the owner, though they do not include your dog’s crate, food, or take-home training equipment.

Our Drop-In Puppy Class is a fun, structured, and low-pressure way to start your puppy’s training — with no long-term commitment required. Designed for puppies 2–6 months of age, this one-hour class focuses on building real-world skills while keeping learning positive and age-appropriate.
Each class includes a balanced mix of training and play, covering:
Foundational obedience and basic commands
Good manners for everyday life
Socialization and exposure to people, puppies, and new environments
A supervised puppy play session to end class on a positive note
This class format has been proven and highly successful. When offered at our Spokane location, classes ran three times per week and were consistently full, with 8–10 puppies per class. We’re excited to bring this same popular experience to the Boise/Eagle area.
