We’re so proud to share a Chattanooga dog trainer success story close to my heart. Dana, our incredible lead trainer from our Tennessee location, is starting a new chapter by the coast—and we couldn’t be more excited for her!
How We Met: From Vet Tech to Valor Trainer
I first met Dana when I rushed my dog into a vet clinic in Chattanooga—he had bloat, and she was the tech who cared for him. Even in that stressful moment, her compassion, talent, and intelligence stood out. I remember thinking, This girl is something special.
Afterward, I asked if she’d be interested in dog training. She became a private lesson client of mine, and I had the opportunity to work with her and her dog, Charlie. It didn’t take long to see her natural instincts and passion. So I asked: Would you want to work for me? She said yes!
The Valor K9 Journey
Dana traveled to Spokane, Washington—twice—to undergo extensive, hands-on training with me. For weeks on end, she immersed herself in our balanced training methodology, learning everything I knew at the time. She worked tirelessly, absorbing every lesson and applying it with integrity and heart.
When she returned to Chattanooga, I handed over all my clients to her. She didn’t just fill my shoes—she made the role her own. For years, Dana was the face of Valor K9 in Tennessee. Her professionalism, care, and skill helped countless dogs and families thrive.
Off to the Coast
Recently, Dana felt it was time for a change. She followed her heart to the ocean, where she’s now living her best life by the coast. We send clients her way regularly because we trust her 100%. She’s continuing her training career there, and we know she’s making just as big an impact as she did with us.
Proud Doesn’t Even Begin to Cover It
Dana’s success is the kind of story we live for at Valor K9 Academy. We don’t just train dogs—we mentor trainers. Watching her go from a vet tech to a lead trainer is one of my proudest accomplishments as a mentor and business owner. She took the tools, knowledge, and experience we gave her and built a life she loves.
