Celebrating 10 Years of Valor K9 Academy: Trusted Dog Training in Boise and Beyond

On April 14, 2024, Valor K9 Academy officially turned 10 years old—and what a journey it has been! Founded in 2014 by Amy Pishner, Valor K9 Academy has grown from a one-woman mission into a nationally respected dog training company with physical locations in Chattanooga, TN, Spokane, WA, and our thriving Boise, ID headquarters—home to our premier Boise dog training programs.

Over the past decade, we’ve helped thousands of dogs and their owners live more harmonious lives. From family companions to working dogs, we’ve trained all ages, all breeds, and all behavior types with a results-driven, relationship-based approach.

Behind the Brand: Meet Amy Pishner

Valor K9 Academy was founded by Amy Pishner, a seasoned dog trainer with a passion for helping both dogs and people thrive. With a background in training German Shepherds and rehabilitating behaviorally complex dogs, Amy built the business from the ground up, committed to raising the standard in professional dog training.

Over the years, Amy has personally hand-selected and trained every trainer who has worked under the Valor K9 name. We’ve had dozens of skilled trainers on our team throughout the years, each one trained in-house to uphold the same quality, consistency, and care that Valor K9 is known for. We don’t franchise or outsource—we cultivate excellence from within.
