What You’ll Do
As a trainer with Valor K9 Academy, you’ll:
- Work with dogs of all ages and breeds
- Conduct private lessons, board and train programs, and public outings
- Create customized training plans using our proven Valor K9 Method™
- Provide excellent communication and customer service to clients
- Track and report training progress
- Collaborate with a team that values honesty, loyalty, and professionalism
What We’re Looking For
Ideal applicants are:
- Motivated and reliable self-starters
- Patient, honest, and detail-oriented
- Experienced in dog handling, behavior, or animal care (or eager to learn!)
- Strong communicators with a team mindset
- Comfortable working independently and hosting dogs in their home (for board & train)
Prior training certifications are not required—we’re happy to mentor the right candidate.
We welcome trainers with experience or interest in professional organizations like the Association for Professional Dog Training.
Compensation & Scheduling
- Commission-Based Pay – Trainers earn a generous percentage for each client they serve
- Flexible Hours – You choose your availability and client load
- Estimated Income Potential – $70,000–$150,000+ per year, depending on client volume and services offered
- Additional Perks – Tip income, bonuses, and professional development support
