Happy 8 Years, Chattanooga!

Eight years ago, on April 14th, 2014, I opened the doors of Valor K9 Academy – Chattanooga. The apartment doors, that is. I was new to dog training and brand new to the area, and all I could afford was an apartment. With military experience behind me and loads of passion and determination, I started Valor K9 Academy. I still remember filing the official paperwork and getting the licenses and being so nervous! It was a huge step for me. The dog training industry as a whole was closed-off, and I had no one to help me out. No idea what tomorrow would look like.

But I’m so glad I stuck to my guns. I knew hard work would pay off, and it has! Eight years later, Valor K9 Academy is a THRIVING NATIONAL DOG TRAINING BUSINESS. We’ve trained thousands of dogs over the past eight years: private lesson dogs, group class dogs, board and trains, stay and plays, rehabs, puppies, obedience dogs. And over those eight years, I’ve forged some pretty incredible relationships with incredible clients, dog trainers and people I now view as friends.

I cannot wait to come back to Chattanooga in less than two weeks to see all of my former clients! It will be a Pack Walk to be remembered. You all gave me the courage to keep on keeping on!

Of course, I would be remiss to not mention the force that kept things going for me when I moved to Spokane to start location #2. Dana, you are incredible and you are missed! I cannot wait to see you in two weeks for the Canine Biathlon!

Thank you to Kelsi and Brenley for continuing our legacy. You had big shoes to fill and haven’t disappointed. All of my clients, and Dana’s clients, love you guys! Thank you for your dedication to excellence.

Happy 8 Years, VK9-Chattanooga. What a blessing you’ve been!
